The worship method of Haji Malang Dargah in Kalyan, Maharashtra, usually begins with offering of flowers to the shrine. The devotees then apply tikka, a red paste, to the forehead of the shrine and perform namaz (prayers) facing the shrine. After completing the prayers, the devotees give charity to local people and the shrine in cash or kind. Then they lit the earthen lamps near the entrance of the Dargah and offer incense sticks.
