Saint Parasceve Orthodox Church In Lithuania is an ancient Eastern Orthodox church located in the town of Kaunas, Lithuania. The church is dedicated to the patroness of the parish, Saint Parasceve (Paraskeva), and is one of the most prominent churches in the city. It was designed in the traditional Baroque-Rococo style and was built in 1851. It is one of the best churches in Lithuania which you must visit.

History:

The intention to build the church was proposed in 1811 and construction began in 1851 and the construction was finished two years later, in 1853. The church was painted in 1809 by Kisielius Matuzevicius and internal frescos were painted in 1856. The exterior of the church has been restored many times, most recently in 1994. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Lithuania.
