History:
The parish initially started with the prayer services and other community activities being conducted in private homes. In 2013, the parish was officially registered as St. Thomas India Orthodox Pazhayapally (STIPA) with the blessings of His Holiness Baselious Marthoma Paulose II, the Catholicose of the East and His Grace Dr. Gabriel Mar Gregorios, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Diocese of South-West America. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Kuwait.

• St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Pazhayapally Ahmadiy is a regional parish of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (MOSC). • It is the only Indian Orthodox Syrian Church parish in Kuwait. • The parish celebrates over 35 feast days of various saints throughout the year. • The Church has a weekly worship service on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. • Since its inception in 2011, the community has grown to over 200 members.
