History:
The mosque was built in 1989, during the reign of King Hussein, the father of King Abdullah I. The mosque has three entrances and an extraordinary turquoise-blue dome, under which there is a wooden ceiling. The interior of the mosque is decorated with intricate mosaics, Islamic calligraphy and a marble-inlaid mihrab. King Abdullah I Mosque This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Jordan.
