Russian Orthodox Gorny Convent - Moscovia Monastery In Jerusalem is a Russian Orthodox monastery located in the old city of Jerusalem. Founded in 2004 by a Russian émigré monk, Father Alexander (Fyodorov) Rasputin, the Monastery is home to over 20 nuns. The Monastery provides a variety of services, including the provision of spiritual and physical relief in the form of pilgrimages, retreats, day care services, therapies, and spiritual guidance. In addition, the Monastery offers educational opportunities and promotes Orthodox culture and knowledge. The Monastery is part of the Jerusalem Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and is the only Russian-Orthodox Church authority in Jerusalem that is subordinate to this Church.
