Japan Baptist Fukagawa Church is a congregation of the Japan Baptist Church Union, located in the Koto-ku area of Tokyo. Founded in 1948 by Moriyuki Tominaga, it has a long and vibrant history of outreach, evangelism, and Christian ministry among the people of Tokyo. History Japan Baptist Fukagawa Church was originally founded in 1948 by missionary, pastor and evangelist, Moriyuki Tominaga. The Church began meeting in the home of Moriyuki and his wife in Koto-ku. After several years of meeting in the home of the couple, the Church was able to relocate to its current location in 1954. Since that time it has experienced tremendous growth, outreach, and development into its current vibrant and active congregation. Facts -The congregation at Japan Baptist Fukagawa Church presently consists of approximately four hundred members. -The Church currently offers bilingual (Japanese & English) services. -In addition to providing traditional Sunday morning services and Sunday school classes, the Church also offers a variety of other events and programs throughout the year such as seminars, Bible study classes, and other community outreach activities. Services Japan Baptist Fukagawa Church provides a wide range of services to its members and the surrounding community. Along with its traditional Sunday morning worship service and Sunday school classes, the Church offers a weekly communion worship service every Thursday evening, prayer meetings every Tuesday and Wednesday evening, as well as numerous seminars, Bible study classes, and other outreach activities. The Church also provides spiritual counseling to individuals and families in need.
