The worship method of Dargah Baba Mian Mir in Jammu-and-Kashmir includes traditional Islamic prayer rituals such as standing in front of the tomb, facing Kabba, offering incense andqiad (blessing recited by a special caretaker) and reciting traditions Islamic verses and prayers. Pilgrims also recite the praises of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and of the holy Dargah. Traditionally, devotees offer flowers and zari (silver cloth) on the tomb. During certain special occasions, devotees circumambulate the shrine and offer food at the shrine to feed the needy. People also offer sacrifices at the Dargah and the Qureshi cateris perform their Poojas and rituals with flame and incense. In addition to these traditional rituals, devotees often organize collective prayers and offerings in the form of chadar poshis (cloth scrolls) offered to the shrine.
