The main worship method at Kali Mata Mandir is puja. Worshippers begin the puja by offering prayers to the Goddess in the form of chanting mantras, as well as offering flowers and other offerings. A diya (oil lamp) is placed in front of the Goddess as an offering. The offering is then distributed amongst the devotees. After the puja, Arati is performed. Arati includes lighting lamps, singing devotional songs, and the ringing of bells. It is believed that the goddess appears during this ritual, and aarti is performed in Her honour. Prasad, or food offerings, are also offered to the Goddess before being distributed amongst the worshippers. The worshippers then step away from the temple with their blessings from the Goddess.
