Baitul Ihsan Mosque (BIM) Bandung is located at Jl. Setra Raya, Bintaro Jaya, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. Originally established in 2001 as a branch of Komunitas Al Hannan Islamic Boarding School, the BIM mosque has grown to become a beacon of Islamic education and faith development for Muslims from all over Indonesia. BIM seeks to provide comprehensive Islamic learning to its students beginning from basic to high level studies. It provides a comprehensive curriculum that covers the 5 pillars of Islam, the 6 branches of faith, and general topics such as modern science, Arabic language, and Islamic civilization. Architecture:

Baitul Ihsan Mosque, also known as the Bandung Grand Mosque, is located in the heart of Bandung, a major city in Indonesia. The mosque was built in 2003 and was designed by the late Adi Purnomo, a renowned architect who designed many of Indonesia’s iconic mosques. The mosque is modeled after the traditional Javanese mosques, however, this version has curved walls and a contemporary modern design. The mosque has a main prayer hall measuring 2,800 square meters and 750 square meters for awnings. The dome of the mosque stands 16 meters high and dominates the skyline of the area. The mosque has two main entrances, both are characterized by huge wooden doors adorned with intricate carvings. The second entrance has a large window which offers views of the mosque’s courtyard. Inside the prayer hall, the walls are adorned with Arabic inscriptions, detailed paintings and a large chandelier hangs from the domed ceiling. On the left side of the prayer hall is a mihrab, a structure that points to the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca. Visitors are also welcome to explore the mosque’s courtyard, which is home to a marble fountain and lush greenery. The mosque also has four smaller domes which are situated at the end of each of its four wings. The wings are also decorated with Arabic calligraphic art and other traditional Javanese designs. Aside from the prayer hall, the mosque also has a library, education room, and several other facilities. The mosque offers prayer meetings, lectures, education seminars, and Islamic classes.
