Tower of Victory In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
The Tower of Victory, also known as the Victory Tower, is an iconic structure located in the City of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II of Amber, the tower stands 54 metres tall. It is a masterpiece of architectural excellence from the era of the kings. The tower stands tall on a platform and is guarded by four gates. Each of the four doors is held up by a giant, intricately carved stone column. The walls and roof of the tower are decorated with beautiful images of gods and goddesses. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Tower of Victory features a stairway that leads to the top. At the top of the tower, visitors will find three chambers with blue-tiled walls and ceilings. Inside, visitors will find a number of religious artifacts and sculptures. The tower is also decorated with a number of small bells and images of mythical creatures.
