Overview:
mb of Shah Makhadum Daulat Maneri and Ibrahim Khan is a historic monument located in the Miranpur district of Uttar Pradesh in India. This tomb was built in the year 1556 AD during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar and is dedicated to the two military commanders of his- Shah Makhadum Daulat Maneri and Ibrahim Khan. The tomb is an example of beautiful Mughal architechture and was designed by the famous Mughal architect Ustad Layik Becter. It is an impressive structure with its multi-domed roof and impressive ornamentation. The tomb also includes two gumbaz- tombs, which were built in memory of two officers. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Tomb of Shah Makhadum Daulat Maneri and Ibrahim Khan consists of three tombs - one for each of the two officers and the third for their families. The tombs are built in white marble and have intricate designs and motifs on them. The inside of the tomb is decorated with calligraphy and reflect the craftsmanship of the period. The front side of the tomb has four arches while the entrance is flanked on either side by two arches. The vault is also decorated with colourful tiles.
