Overview:
f Panj pirs is a revered shrine in the outskirts of the city of Lahore, Pakistan. It is a place of pilgrimage for Muslims as well as people of other religions, who believe that the site was once home to five revered sufi saints or 'pirs', who were held in great esteem in the area. The shrine is also known among local people as 'Choti Bekasri' or 'Smallest Bekasri'. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Tomb of Panj Pirs stands out as the most prominent feature among the attractions in Lahore. It is a rectangular building with a domed roof and four walls made of marble and wood. The walls are inset with different types of Islamic calligraphic inscriptions and verses from the Quran. Inside the main hall of the shrine, there are five tombs corresponding to each of the 'pirs', who are said to have been buried here. The walls also have other Islamic artwork and verses, as well as carvings of trees, flowers and animals. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
