Overview:
The Tomb of Mir Mardan translated as the Mosque of Mir Mardan is located in Cairo, Egypt and is a 17th century monument. It is a unique and beautiful example of the Ottoman style of architecture, and is one of the oldest surviving monuments of that time. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Tomb of Mir Mardan features a dome and two minarets, with a courtyard around the structure, and beautifully decorated walls filled with writings and illustrations. The inside of the tomb is also beautifully decorated with colourful designs, inscriptions and paintings. The walls of the tomb are also filled with engravings of Islamic calligraphy, which is a reminder of the monument’s past. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour

The tomb was constructed by the powerful Ottoman sultan, Osman the II. It is said to be a tribute to his father, Mir Mardan, who was an important military commander in the Ottoman empire.
