The Pirghaib stretched from Rajegath and Hira Nagri near Hindu Rao’s House, in the North-West to Ghaziudin Nagar in the North-East. History:

The Pirghaib featured two major gates, the Purana Qila to the west and the Fatehpuri Masjid to the east. It also had eight watch towers and nine deep trenches. The walls were constructed of rubble stones and fortified with mud, which was likely strengthened with additions of wood, as wood was plentiful in Delhi during the period.
