Brief History:
is a Mughal era mosque located in the town of Sambhal, in Uttar Pradesh, India. It was constructed by Fazl Ali Khan, the governor of Sambhal during the reign of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb (1658–1707). The mosque was used for congregational prayer by theMuslims living in the region. The mosque was damaged in some parts during the British Raj period, but was later renovated. It has several inscriptions on its walls which state that the mosque was renovated and renovated again multiple times during the Mughal period. The mosque is located on a hilltop, giving it a scenic view of the surrounding area. It is one of the most famous mosque in India which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Shahi Masjid in Sambhal, India, was built by the court of Mughal emperor Akbar during the 16th century. The masjid is constructed mainly of red stone and plastered masonry, with some brick and lime used at the dome. The prayer hall of the masjid is rectangular and contains five arched entrances. The overall construction is two-storied, and the outer walls of the building are also adorned with floral designs and carvings. The interior of the masjid is decorated with intricate arches and domes, and most of its surfaces are adorned with Islamic calligraphy. The courtyard of the mosque is also surrounded by four minarets. The roof of the prayer hall and the courtyard is made in the typical Islamic style, with a triple-domed central pavilion over the mihrab. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
