Brief History:
is an ancient mosque, dating back to the 16th century. This mosque was built by Sultan Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar. It is believed to have been built in the year 1530 AD and is one of the oldest and largest mosques in India. Architecture:
The Shahi Masjid of Malda is a large mosque situated in the bank of the old channel of the Ganges in Malda, West Bengal, India. This impressive architectural structure was built by Nawab Alivardi Khan in 1740 CE. It is a three-storied, high domed building which has four doors, two minarets and four corner turrets. The interior of the mosque is decoration with intricate stone carvings and calligraphy. The mosque is enclosed with a large courtyard in which two canopies used to stand in the past. The mosque celebrates two important festivals namely Eid and Ramadan. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
The Shani Masjid at Malda, West Bengal, is open to visitors from 7:00am to 10:00pm every day. Visitors are expected to dress modestly and remove shoes prior to entering the premises. best mosque in the world.

The mosque is located near the banks of the Bhutia River, and was originally constructed in honor of the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb. The mosque is made of stone, and its walls are decorated with floral motifs and hails from the 18th century. It stands three stories tall, and has two minarets.
