Sculptures at Phutera tank are the most important monuments of the medieval city of Phutera, located in the northwestern part of India. It is believed that these monumental sculptures were created by the Maharaja Ranjitsinh. The tank is made up of two parts: the upper and lower tanks. The upper tank or Kund is adorned with idols of Lord Shiva, Deity Gangadevi, Lord Narasimha and many more. The lower tank is covered with ancient sculptures of Lord Ganesha, Vishnu, Saraswati and many more.

Sculptures of Phutera tank were created in the 12th century during the reign of the Maharaja Ranjitsinh. The area was then known as Nagari, or ‘City of Nagas’ in Sanskrit. Construction of the tank was undertaken to commemorate the golden elephant of Maharaja Ranjitsinh. To further this plan, hundreds of terracotta sculptures of gods and goddesses were made and placed on the upper part of the tank.
