Sas Bahu Temples are two adjacent Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temples are situated in the city of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, India. These two temples are renowned for their architectural beauty. They are an example of the Kshatriya style of temple architecture. The larger temple is known as Sas temple or Jal Mandir and the smaller one is known as Bahu temple or Saas temple. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The temples feature the typical Shikharas, or spires, and curvilinear towers. The architectural style of the temples is a combination of North and South India architecture. The stone carvings, rock-cut sculptures, and intricate designs make the temples even more beautiful. The main feature of the temple is the four-armed image of Lord Vishnu.
