Overview:
i Mohan Temple is a Hindu temple located in the South Indian town of Tirupati. It is one of the five important temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the South. The temple was built in the 11th century by the Vijayanagara kings, and renovated in recent times by the Sri Venkateshwara Orphanage Trust. Murali Mohan Temple This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The temple has a 40-foot tall tower with an idol of Lord Vishnu carved out of Vyshnavite blue stone. There are several idols of Vishnu, Lord Balaji, and Goddess Laxmi, made out of different materials like gold, marble, stone, and brass. The temple complex is open throughout the year, and special prayers and festivities take place during holy days.
