Ranchod Temple In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
Constructed almost 1500 years ago, the temple is a major attraction in Kutch, Gujarat. According to legends, Ranchod Temple was built to honor Lord Vishnu and was also a popular pilgrimage site. The temple has beautiful carvings and architecture that are an evidence of its old age. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The temple is made up of torans, or gateways, that allow the devotees to access the deity from the outside. The entrance gateway is made of stone and it is said that it took almost 40 years to complete. The temple also has two inner sanctums, each dedicated to Lord Vishnu. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
