y deep Rock Shelter is an archaeological site located in Oklahoma, USA. It is the longest excavated site in the region, with over 2,400 square feet of research area. The shelter was discovered in 2017, and is believed to be one of the earliest sites of human habitation in the area. Dorothy Deep Rock Shelter is composed of two layers of sediment, the upper being 12 feet thick and the lower 8 feet thick. This stratigraphic formation provides researchers with an opportunity to study how the lives of the people living in this area changed over time. Artifacts from the site date back as far as the Middle Archaic period (4000-3000 BC). This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
