Overview:
Raja Vishal Ka Garh is an ancient fort in Rajasthan, India. Built in the 16th century, it is located in the town of Chittorgarh, overlooking the Chambal River. The fort is surrounded by a series of five baodis (large stepped wells) and a lake. It was once a stronghold of the legendary ruler, Rao Chandrasen, who kept many treasures inside its walls. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Raja Vishal Ka Garh is comprised of several large structures, most notably the Rana Kumbha Palace, which was constructed in the mid-15th century. Other structures include the Kirti Stambh, which is a tower dedicated to Adinath, the Jain scholar and ascetic. The fort also features several gates and walls, including the Bhairon Pol and the Bhuri Singh Gate, as well as a seven-storied watch tower.
