Overview:
atha Swami Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. According to traditions, Lord Vishnu had appeared as Raghunatha, one of the 24 forms of divine incarnation, during Tretayuga to save the devotees of Sitaramachandra Prayanam. The temple is built in the Vijayanagara style of architecture and is believed to have been constructed in 12th century. This temple is also known as "Tirupati Venkatachalam". This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Raghunatha Swami Temple has a two-tiered vimana with the upper tier dedicated to Raghunatha. The entrance gate has a sculpture of Lord Vishnu's horse, Garuda, facing the temple. The pillared hall around the sanctum contains several sculptural panels depicting the stories from the Puranas. The temple also has several frescoes depicting scenes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
