,Nandavaram Temple including the sculpture of Subrahamanya is a Hindu temple located in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. It is dedicated to the Hindu god Subramanya, who is popularly known as Murugan in south India. This temple has a very beautiful sculpture of Subrahmanya made in Dravidian style, which is believed to be over 1000 years old. It is one of the major pilgrimage centers of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is situated on a hill called Nandavaram. It is believed that the hill gets its name from the fact that it is a place where Lord Subrahmanya performed the Nanda rite. The main temple here is dedicated to Subrahmanya and his consorts, Valli and Deivanai. The temple also houses several other shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Ganesh, Rama, and other Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Many festivals, like Skanda Sashti and Kavadi, are celebrated with great devotion at this temple. During these festivals, devotees offer special prayers to Lord Subrahmanya. Apart from this, several other cultural and traditional festivals are also celebrated here. The temple complex of Nandavaram includes many sculptures and inscriptions that are of great importance. As many as 28 inscriptions have been discovered here and many of them date back to the 5th century AD. This shows that the temple has been around for a very long time. The Nandavaram Temple is known for its remarkable architecture and artistic beauty. The most striking feature of this temple is its sculpture of Subrahmanya. The sculpture is made in the Dravidian style of architecture and it is believed to be over 1000 years old. The sculpture of Subrahmanya is very detailed and finely crafted. It displays the beauty, power, and grace of the divine figure. Apart from this, the temple also houses many other beautiful sculptures and paintings that are worth admiring. These sculptures and paintings are believed to be the works of great artists and sculptors who lived centuries ago.
