Megalithic Cists and Cairns, Neyveli is located about 30 km from Tirupur in the Kongu region of Tamil Nadu. The site is a unique and well-preserved example of early megalithic culture and includes a variety of cists and cairns, along with several stone circles, burial mounds and semi-circular trenches. The most prominent feature of the site is the two large cairns, each one measuring approximately 15 metres in diameter and 4 metres in height. The site was first discovered in the early 1930s and has since become an important cultural and archaeological site.
