Naduvakkarai is a large megalithic site located near the town of Ambasamudram in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It consists of numerous cists, cairns and dolmens (ancient stone grave structures) built in the Neolithic era, possibly as early as 3,000 BC. History:
The site features artifacts including charred grains of millet, swinebones, stone tools, stone vessels and beads made of quartz and jasper. The largest cairn is about thirty feet in diameter and five feet high and contains several cists. The cists found in the cairn are five feet long and two feet wide.
