Overview:
Khadsamla Caves is an ancient cave complex in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. Located in the Chamba district, the caves are believed to have been built in the 8th century by the Sandahur King, Udyan Veer. The caves are a unique example of sculptures and inscriptions that reflect the Hindu and Buddhist traditions during the 8th and 9th centuries. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

The Khadsamla Caves are known for its unique and intricate architecture, sculpture, and inscriptions. There are 30 chambers in the main cave complex and all are filled with sculptures depicting various Hindu gods and goddess, along with some rare Buddhist images, including eight carved stone elephants.
