The Chand Bibi Mosque is a 16th century monument and is believed to be built after the Battle of Talikota. It is a grand structure which is built in a unique Indo-Islamic architectural style. The mosque is rectangular in shape and stands four stories high, with its main entrance located on the east side. The mosque is constructed of redstone (quartzite) and limestone and is topped by two large domes, one of which is supported by four elegant minarets. A large open courtyard lies at the centre of the edifice which is surrounded by an intricately carved cloister on all four sides. The interior of the mosque is divided into seven bays; Each section is supported by a number of ornately carved marble pillars and is crowned by a semi-circular vaulted dome with three small walkways leading inwards.
