Humaun’s Mosque is a 12th-century Mughal-era structure located in the city of Gujarat, India. It was built by Humaun, the Hindu ruler of Gujarat, in 1197 during the Slave dynasty. It is one of the oldest surviving structures of its kind in India. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Humaun’s Mosque is a large mosque with multiple domes, a main prayer hall and a large courtyard with a prayer area. The structure is built in the traditional Mughal style with the use of red stone, white marble and blue tiles. The entrance to the mosque is elaborately decorated with arched openings and colorful mosaic tiles. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
