Badshahi Bagh In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
hi Bagh is a famous park located in the city of Lahore in Pakistan. It was constructed in the late 19th century by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan. The garden is set on approximately 5000 thousand square meters and is an ornamental park that features an intricate pattern of plants, flowers, and trees. It is well known for its stunning display of rose bushes, which were added by Shah Jahan himself. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The park has a large fountain in the middle of it surrounded by pathways and open spaces. The garden is decorated with hundreds of white marble benches arranged in various formations. In the center of the park, there is a tiled terrace, known as the Diwan or a gathering place for courtesans, poets and musicians. On one side of the garden, there is also a mosque.
