Akbar's Chhatri is a majestic monument situated in the city of Ajmer, Rajasthan. It is an archaeological site which holds immense historic importance and values. It was built by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1570 AD to commemorate the death of his courtier and relative- Raja Man Singh; a Hindu noble in the Mughal court. The entrance to the monument is guarded by four over-life-sized marble elephants. Entering from the Northern gate, one can find a courtyard with a garden in the centre.
