Jaina Temple (Shanthinatha Basadi) is an ancient Jain temple located in Moodabidri, Karnataka, India. It is said to be constructed in the 11th century and is considered to be one of the most important and oldest Jain temples in the country. The temple was constructed under the guidance of Jina Padmanayaka and consists of 18 temples. The Jaina temple, located at Moodabidri, is dedicated to Shri Shantinatha, one of the 24 Tirthankaras and holds great importance in the Jain religion. Made from granite blocks and fine stonework and wood, the place is an epitome of magnificence and grandeur. The temple and its host of sanctuaries are enclosed in a complex, which was frequently visited by several Jain saints. It was also declared to be a world heritage site in August 2018. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

The most prominent feature of the temple is its notable carvings, ornamental figures and inscriptions. The sanctuaries house several valuable statues that depict the main figures of the religion, such as Parshwanatha and Rishabha Deva. There are four underground chambers that can be accessed through ladders and are believed to contain the original idols. Additionally, the temple complex also houses valuable inscriptions.
