The church began as a tiny mission with twelve members. Its first pastor was Pastor Mike Hughes, who served from 1981 to 1985. During his tenure, the church increased its membership to 150. He was followed by Pastor Eric Long in 1985, and then Pastor David Lee from 1987 to 1995. Then, in 1995, Pastor David Nevius took the helm and served until his retirement in 2011.
