History
The Nautolou family, originally from Ba, Fiji, began the Saweni Church in 1895, and the first building accommodated around 100 parishioners. The opening of the church in the village of Saweni marked the begin of an exciting journey, beginning with the few people that attended that first service.
Later, the church grew, and in 1906 a larger building was built to house the ever-growing congregation. This building was subsequently moved and remodeled several times to cope with its ever-growing numbers.
The current building was constructed in 2010 and was designed to house up to 1,000 worshippers on any given Sunday.
