Nakasi Catholic Chapel was founded in 1950 when the first Church and school were made available in the area. In 1960 it was raised to the status of a Parish and a new building was completed which is still in use today. In a 1961 decree by Archbishop Liston, the Diocese of Suva established the Parish of Nakasi and the Parish was to be under the care of the Redemptorists. The Chapel was blessed and opened by the Archbishop on 29 July 1962. Nakasi Catholic Chapel This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Fiji.

Nakasi Catholic Chapel holds a weekly Mass every Sunday at 8:30am. The mass is led by priests from the Diocese of Suva. Other regular services include: Holy Hour, Eucharistic Adoration, Benediction, Morning and Evening Prayers, First Friday Adoration and Devotion and Confessions (by appointment). The Parish also offers a number of special services such as Rosary devotion, special Masses for Marian Feasts and special Masses for deceased members of the Parish.This beautiful church in Fiji has made a lot of significance in the past.
