The Evangelical Fellowship of Fiji (EFF), also known as the EFI, is a Christian fellowship, established in 1980 by a group of pastors from different denominations in Fiji who shared a common vision for spiritual renewal. It is a voluntary association of churches, missions, and ministries, committed to furthering the Kingdom of God in Fiji and beyond. EFF works through the local churches, encouraging them in the proclamation of the Gospel and in evangelism. It also works to equip and resource these churches in their efforts to reach their communities. EFF History The Evangelical Fellowship of Fiji (EFF) was founded in 1980 by a group of pastors from different denominations in Fiji. The founding pastors included the late Rev. May Ah Koy, Rev. Jonas Wasutera, Rev. Poto Kepa and Rev. Kamlesh Sharma. Prior to this, some of the churches already had a collective relationship through the Fiji Christian Council and other organizations, but their relationship was largely formal and not based on common convictions or purposes. In 1982 the EFF released its official statement of faith. In 1986, the EFF became an registered charity, and in 2000 it was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee. Later on, in 2017, it officially changed its name to "Evangelical Fellowship of Fiji" to better reflect its ethos.
