Caubati Assembly of God is an evangelical Christian church located in Caubati, Fiji. It was started by a missionary, Reverend Benjamin Whitley, in 1940. The church is a member of the South Pacific Islands Pentecostal Fellowship, and cooperates with a number of other churches in the area. It is one of the best churches in Fiji which you must visit.

History:

In 1940, Reverend Benjamin Whitley sailed to Caubati, Fiji with his family, fulfilling a dream of establishing a church dedicated to spreading the gospel throughout South Pacific islands. Reverend Whitley and his family were welcomed by the community, with the Chief providing land and the resources needed to build a church. Construction began that same year, and the work was carried out solely by the small community up until 1946 when the church was completed. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Fiji.
