The Archdiocese of Suva - Nicolas House is a religious-based organization founded in 1928 to serve the Catholic population in Suva, Fiji. It is a public center for Catholic ministry and a place where various Catholic religious orders, such as the Society of Jesus, the Sisters of St. John of God, the Brothers of St. Francis de Sales, and the Sisters of Mercy, can come to establish faith-based social work and ministry. At Nicolas House, Catholic evangelization includes bible study, catechetics, and prayer times, as well as counseling and spiritual direction. The Archdiocese is also responsible for the establishment and administration of parishes, schools, hospitals, and other ministries across Fiji. Its main offices are located in Suva, and its current Archbishop is Archbishop Christopher Prowse. The Archdiocese is a strong advocate for the rights of the Fijian people, and is committed to fostering understanding and mutual respect between Catholics and other Christians in Fiji.
