History:
St Barnabas Church, Hove was built between 1861 and 1862 as part of the East Blatchington parish. It was designed by the well-known Brighton-based architects, husband and wife team, George Cheeseman and Jane Kettle, and is noted for its distinctive clock tower. The church was consecrated by the Bishop of Chichester on October 10th, 1862. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in England.

St Barnabas Church, Hove is a prominent feature of the skyline in the Hove area. The church is made up of a large nave and two aisles, a north and south porch, an organ chamber and a north and east vestries. The impressive clock tower houses a grand Turret Clock with a central bell weighing one ton and two quarter bells.

St Barnabas Church, Hove provides services for a variety of Christian celebrations, including Sunday morning services, which start at 10.30am, as well as events such as baptisms and weddings.
