History:

Faarup Sommerland, which is located in Saltum, Denmark, is a family owned and operated summer amusement park that was founded in 1958 by September and Dorte Faarup. The Faarup family owned and operated the park until it was sold in 2010 to Sommerland Syd, a multi-park owner in Denmark. The park has a variety of fun activities for children and adults alike. As of 2020, the park offers roller coasters, spinning rides, water slides, and bumper boats. Faarup Sommerland also features an animal petting zoo, a traditional carousel, and a mini golf course. Since it’s opening in 1958, Faarup Sommerland has seen several additions and renovations over the years. In the early 1980s, a log flume became the first largescale ride to be installed in the park. In 1987, the first roller coaster, the Golden Mine, was added. In 1992, an indoor playcenter opened at the park, followed by the addition of the stunt bike show in 1999. In recent years, Faarup Sommerland has continued to add more attractions while maintaining its traditional family-friendly atmosphere. In 2019, the Family Coaster opened, a thrilling coaster designed for the whole family to enjoy. The park has also made efforts to be more eco-friendly by removing single-use plastic items and offering credit card payments on rides.
