Church of Our Lady of the Sea is a Catholic Church located in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Founded in 1920 by the Rev. Martin J. Ready, the parish originally served the needs of the growing Catholic community in Wilmington, NC. The church is the centerpiece of the parish and is an impressive two-story brick-and-wood structure featuring a Romanesque-style apse, two porticos, and two large towers with two stained-glass windows. It is one of the best churches in Croatia which you must visit.

History:

The Church of Our Lady of the Sea began as a small mission church of St. Mary's in Wilmington and was founded in 1920 by the Rev. Martin J. Ready. In 1927, the parishioners of the mission church purchased land along Pleasant Street and began building a permanent church. The dedication of the church took place in June of 1929 and the parish has been strongly rooted in the Wrightsville Beach community ever since. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Croatia.
