Wilson Botanical Garden - Puntarenas In Costa-Rica is a tropical rainforest reserve and botanical garden located in San Vito de Coto Brus, in the Puntarenas Province in Costa Rica. Wilson Botanical Garden – Puntarenas In Costa Rica is a biodiverse project started in 1982 under the direction of botanist Barry Hammel and the National University of Costa Rica. The vast garden is located in the small southern Costa Rican town of Las Cruces, Puntarenas, and is home to over 3,800 species of plants from various regions of the world. So far over 2,000 species of plants can be found in the garden, and there are often special events and guided tours. The park also features an Insectarium and butterfly garden, a café, and a plant nursery.
