It is located in Santiago's former Estación Mapocho railway station and is hosted in a historic building constructed in 1932. The museum is home to the Chilean National Collection of Contemporary Art which includes works from the early 90’s by Chilean and international artists. The museum is organized into three departments: the Education Department, the Curatorial Section, and the Exhibition Department.
