Toro Toro National Park is a protected area in the Cordillera de los Frailes mountain range in Bolivia. History:

The Toro Toro National Park in Bolivia was officially created in 1979 and is located 165 km northwest of the city of Cochabamba. It is home to some of the most captivating and ecologically valuable landscapes including creeks, canyons, caves, sandstone formations, and rock art. The creation of the park was a reflection of the desire of the Bolivian government to protect the area’s unique cultural and natural heritage. The park’s name is derived from a local legend involving a demon-like creature known as the Toro Toro, believed to inhabit the area.
