Overview:

Trashigang Dzong is an impressive 17th century fortress located at the confluence of the Gamri and Drangme rivers in Bhutan. The Trashigang Dzong, also known as the 'fortress of the auspicious hill', was established in 1659 by Shatar Choegyal, an important ruler from the Kingdom of Trongsa.
