is a Buddhist monastery located in Bumthang Valley of Bhutan. It is one of the oldest existing monasteries of the valley and home to one of the oldest images of Guru Rinpoche. It is believed to have been established in the 7th century by the great scholar and saint Rigzing Bhutang Naljor. The monastery is well known for its scenic beauty and its impeccable architecture. Worship Method:
The worship method of Talung Monastery in Bumthang, Bhutan follows the traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Monks at the monastery perform several rituals as part of their daily worship. This includes daily chanting and prayers, reciting mantras, visualizing yidams (deities of Tibetan Buddhism) and performing various rituals associated with the four major Tibetan Buddhist lineages. Monks also practice meditation, visualizing deities and deities mantras, and perform mandala work, elaborate offerings, tsok ritual, and puja. You can also take a direct flight from Paro to Bumthang Domestic Airport located in Jakar, Bumthang district.
