Pelri Goemba is a Buddhist monastery located just outside of Bumthang town in central Bhutan. It was established by the 5th Rinpoche of Bhutan, Dodrel Tshewang Norbu, in 1868, and is still actively used today by both monks and lay followers. The main hall of the monastery is filled with colorful Buddhist murals and statues, representing some of the most important figures of Bhutanese Buddhism such as Guru Rinpoche, Terton Pema Lingpa, and the five temporal rulers of Bhutan.
