Worship Method:

The worship method of Jurmed Lhakhang is a combination of traditional Bhutanese Buddhism and Bon. As with most Buddhist temples in Bhutan, worshippers offer prayers, make offerings, and recite mantras. Worshipers also recite the mantras associated with the protector deity Gonpo Sumdrolma and two other bodhisattvas associated with Jurmed Lhakhang. Both ritual dances and cham dances are performed during festivals honoring the temple and its protectors. Offerings of food, drink, and incense are made to the deity statues. In addition, devotional artwork and other items may be presented as part of the offerings. Male devotees are required to wear traditional Bhutanese gho and female devotees should wear Kira.
