Worship Method:

In the traditional Dobji Dzong of Paro in Bhutan, ritual worship includes chanting from the sacred scriptures while spinning and prostrating to the image of the guardian deity. Soft music can be heard from the monastery, and the monks chant prayers as they practice their spiritual rituals. The brass drums and cymbals vibrate during the length of the prayers, while devotional songs are heard in the background. The lamas wear colorful robes as they sit in meditation and chant scriptures, accompanied by a conch shell blowing and religious music. During prayer offerings, traditional torma cakes, flowers, fruits and incense are offered. After special prayers and rituals are completed, the faithful present their offerings to the guardian deity and the lamas. At the end of the ritual, butter lamps are lit and then extinguished.
