Krestovozdvizhenskiy Sobor is an Eastern Orthodox Russian cathedral located in St. Petersburg, Russia. It was built in 1736-1740 and is sometimes referred to as the Resurrection Cathedral. The church was designed by Antonio Rinaldi and is one of the most important surviving examples of Russian Baroque architecture in the city. It is often considered to be one of the most iconic monuments in St. Petersburg. The cathedral was built to serve as the principal place of worship in the imperial city.
